Timothy Forbess - CEO - GF Bailey

A Tennessee native, Tim founded the GF Bailey company in 2016 as an entity to address housing issues in urban environments.  With an education background that includes undergraduate degrees in communication and psychology, master’s degrees in divinity and an additional degree in Leadership and Change, and PhD work (ABD) in Impact Investing and its use in urban capital stack work, Tim left his work in higher education to do grass roots change with direct sourcing of housing needs for housing insecure populations.

Tim’s projects have included serving as a developer on urban childcare projects, housing identified for women and children, the Longfellow Common’s senior community build, historic tax credit renovation of the Joseph Lowry Home in Dayton’s urban center, builds for minority clients in Wright Dunbar and Wolf Creek neighborhoods in partnership with the City of Dayton’s Planning Department, and home improvement work with County Corp, Dayton’s largest subsidized home provider.  Tim also completed the St. Mary’s Development Hoover Flats Project, acting as the General Contractor on their most recent initiative, a ten unit new construction build for persons with handicapping conditions.

GF Bailey is currently working on a 10-unit project that includes new construction and renovation for victims of domestic violence in North Dayton and also a 10-unit senior living community on the campus of Eastmont United Methodist Church, serving Dayton’s east side subsidized seniors.
